En 1971, Jacques Ramade,
Jule's grandson, quit his job as a notary's clerk to
start the business again. The mill was reopened as Jacques
Ramade developed his own production of oil and olives,
which he markets nationally along with tapenades (savoury
spreads made with pureed olives). .
Upon his death, his daughter, also touched by the olive
virus, took over the mill with her mother's help. Today
she is one of the rare women to produce olive oil as
she continues her ancestors' work.
